S-2238, Chromogenic Substrate for Thrombin

S-2238, Chromogenic Substrate for Thrombin

Description

The thrombin (FIIa)-specific chromogenic substrate S-2238 is a short peptide covalently bound to pNA (4-nitroaniline). A free pNA will be cleaved off the peptide chain by thrombin, thus enabling quantitive detection by a spectrophotometer.

Asnail provides chromogenic substrate S-2238 for anti-FIIa activity assay of heparin.

Properties:

Origin Synthesis Appearance white or light yellow lyophilized powder
CAS number 113711-77-6 Purity ≥99%, by HPLC
Molecular formula H-D-Phe-Pip-Arg-pNA·2HCl Solubility ≥ 10 mg/mL (in pure water)
Molecular weight 625.6 Da Absorption coefficient A405nm ≤ 0.120 [L/(g·cm)]

Applications:

Chromogenic substrate S-2238 can be used in many applications, such as:

  • Anti-factor Xa activity to anti-factor IIa activity ratios of heparin and LMWHs.
  • Anti-factor IIa activities of heparin and LMWHs.
  • Activities of antithrombin and thrombin.
  • Anti-factor IIa activities of heparin and LMWHs in human plasma.
